Notes & Policies

  • All Courses are held at Wilmette Junior High – All evening Courses: Children should be dropped off at main entrance and go directly to the classroom assigned to his/her Science Olympiad class.
  • Registration opens October 18, 2017. Registration is first come, first served. Sorry, no refunds after November 6, 2017.
  • Session runs from December 4, 2017 – February 9, 2018.
  • Program is open to all current Highcrest and Wilmette Junior High students.
  • Students who choose to attend courses at a campus other than their own are responsible for all transportation to and from that course. Students must have parental permission to walk to and from the other campus on their own. No chaperon or crossing guard will be present.
  • We reserve the right to cancel/change any course for any reason.
  • We reserve the right to charge $10 for every 10 minutes that you are late to pick up your student(s).
  • Safety is our utmost concern, if your child was in school but is not planning to attend Olympiad, please e-mail your child’s Science Olympiad leader and the Facility Coordinator.
  • If your child was not at school (or will not be at school), he/she may NOT attend that day’s Science Olympiad class.
  • Remind student that there is no food allowed in Olympiad classrooms. Exception is the food required for the Food Science course.  If your student would like to bring a nut-free after school snack, he/she may do so. The snack must be eaten prior to the start of the Olympiad session.
  • In the event of a class cancellation – an email will be sent to the address you gave at registration.  We are not under any duty to reschedule missed or cancelled classes.
  • Unacceptable behavior will be reported to the student’s parent. If unacceptable behavior recurs, the student will be asked to withdraw and no refund will be issued.
